A collection of Andy Warhol's paintings and prints were displayed at the Dulwich Portrait gallery summer 2012 and I was fortunate to attend and see more of his works other than the obvious series of the Campbell soups which were evidently there.I really liked the series of mix media prints and paintings of world famous boxer Muhammad Ali. Each work depicts Muhammed Ali at a different angle or pose.It was capturing his everyday body language therefore displaying his humanity, the ordinary man behind his boxing alter ego.I really enjoyed seeing Warhol's dynamic pop art works that embodied the essence of the rising commercialism of the 50's and embodied this commercially fun and free spirited vibe in his colourful zany works;that appropriately still reign popular today.
